• The E-Verify User Manual is designed for use by participating employers and/or those who will be performing electronic employment eligibility verifications of newly hired employees. Although participation in E-Verify is voluntary, employers must consent to the conditions detailed in this manual. 1.2.1 Privacy Statement.
• Welcome to the ‘E-Verify User Manual for Employers.’ This manual provides guidance on E-Verify processes and outlines the rules and responsibilities for employers.
• Users must follow the guidelines set forth in the E-Verify Memorandum of Understanding for Employers (MOU) and rules and responsibilities outlined in this manual. For purposes of this manual, the term “employer” means a person, company, or other entity that is required to complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, including any individual with an E-Verify.
